What is a TCK?
A Third Culture Kid (TCK) is someone who has grown up in a culture outside of their parent’s culture and the culture they were born into.
As a result, they adopt a kaleidoscope of different cultures as part of themselves. At the same time, they’re not wholly a part of any culture.
What is Hopepunk?
‘The opposite of Grimdark’ according to writer Alexandra Rowland, Hopepunk is a literary movement where the world is dark and hopeless, but the characters give the story hope through their actions.
Sound familiar? We could use a little more hopepunk in the real world. In the face of the pandemic, racism & other divisions, we need to work to keep faith in humanity.
